WHY WAS IT STARTED?

Fancy Peasant was born as an ode to Fotios. He grew up in Vavouri, a small mountain village in Northern Greece, where they lived off the land. "We had a limited cuisine. It just so happened it was the healthiest…” At Fancy Peasant, we want to pass on this exceptionally simple, nutritious and vibrant lifestyle. Cook like a peasant, get rich slowly.

WHERE ARE ITS ORIGINS?

Epirus is located in the northwestern corner of Greece, made up of remote mountain villages including Vavouri. This majestic region is riddled with picturesque mountains, pristine rivers, and spectacular wilderness that yield the most nutritious products and tasteful recipes. The villagers who remain live exceptionally healthy and long lives. The heart of our recipes are Epirus-minded — clean and nourishing.
